Liebert was a major in the RAMC and held obstetric appointments at St Mary's Hospital Manchester and Ancoats Hospital Manchester before being appointed consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist to Withington Hospital Manchester in 1947. Liebert was one of the first women in Manchester to become a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. She was also a member of MMS and of the North of England Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society. Despite being confined to a wheelchair in the last five years of her life, Liebert continued to work at Withington Hospital. She died in May 1965, aged 52.
