Lund, the second son of Edward Lund (see above), received his medical education at Cambridge and Guy's Hospital where he was house surgeon and senior resident obstetrician. Lund was honorary surgeon to Hulme Dispensary Manchester before being appointed honorary consulting surgeon to Salford Royal Hospital, a position he held from 1889 until the end of the first world war. He was in practice, probably at first with his father, in St John Street. Lund was also medical referee for the War Pensions Committee in Salford and was consulting surgeon to the Warehouseman and Clerks' Provident Association. He was captain in the RAMC serving at the 2nd Western General Hospital, Manchester. Lund was president of Manchester Clinical Society. Lund died on 18 February 1938.
