Richard Stephen Hugh Pumfrey, b 1944.

Pumphrey was consultant clinical immunologist at St Mary's Hospital from the late 1970s and was director of the Regional Immunology Service. He had previously trained at Cambridge, St Bartholomew's and Glasgow. Pumfrey gained his FRCPath in 1988 and was a member of the British Society of Immunology.
