James Kendrick was a physician of high reputation in Warrington, being physician to the Ladies' Lying-in Charity and the Dispensary and House of Recovery. In 1871 a daughter of a James Kendrick, physician, was living in Dale Street and married in Manchester. James Horsburgh Kendrick of Warrington, possibly the son of James Kendrick, was a medical pupil at MRI in 1866. It is not known if he qualified, he does not appear in medical directories of the period. John Kendrick, the son of James Kendrick, was a physician's clerk at MRI (see below).
