Shirley Anne Leslie, b 1932.

Leslie gained her medical qualifications from Liverpool in 1956, gaining an MD in 1971. She gained diplomas in obstetrics, child health and public health before training as a psychiatrist. She became MRCPsych in 1971, and FRCPsych in 1981. Leslie was consultant child psychiatrist at Booth Hall Hospital Blackley from 1969.
