Administrative / Biographical History

Higginson originally studied at London University, where he took a degree in philosophy and economics. He later entered Manchester Medical School in 1891m and qualified in 1897. He spent most of his career in practice in Edgbaston, Birmingham, and had a particular interest in tuberculosis. Higginson was known for his literary work and had been involved in the Positivist movement.
