Administrative / Biographical History

LSA 1826, MRCS 1827, FRCS 1854.

Holroyde studied medicine at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals, London. He was a general practitioner in Manchester from the 1820s until the 1850s. He suffered some difficulties from being wrongly associated with the death of Lavinia Robinson (see John Holroyd). Holroyde retired in the 1860s to Clitheroe and was Justice of the Peace.
