Administrative / Biographical History

MB ChB Edin 1917, MD 1919; MRCP Edin 1934.

Kerr studied medicine at Edinburgh University and was house surgeon at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. He was later appointed anaesthetist to Manchester Northern Hospital before becoming medical officer of health for Bowdon, Cheshire. Kerr went on to become honorary physician to Altrincham General Hospital and medical registrar to St Anne's Home, Bowdon. He was also lecturer in medical ethics at the University of Manchester. Kerr was chairman of the Mid-Cheshire Division of BMA.
