John Jaynes Manns, b 1939.

Manns was consultant physician and endocrinologist at Wythenshawe Hospital from 1974. He gained his medical qualifications from the University of Wales in 1964 and held resident appointments in Wales. Manns was senior registrar and honorary lecturer in Dundee before coming to Manchester. He gained his FRCP in 1983 and was a member of MMS.
