Lunt was educated at Cambridge and Owens College Manchester. He was junior assistant medical officer at Cheadle Royal Infirmary and assistant medical officer to Cheadle Convalescent Hospital and Salford Fever Hospital. He was in general practice in Lymm, Cheshire. Lunt died on 27 June 1906, age 51.
