Renewed mid-blue front cover of first satsu, with embossed diamond pattern. Renewed title slip with manuscript gedai: 熟語便覧. Preface title: Jukuji benran 熟字便覧. Title from naidai at head of maki 1. Hashiragaki: Jukuji benran 熟字便覧 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: The first and only known edition. Contents: A dictionary of compounds of two or more kanji, with brief definitions in katakana-majiri, arranged in iroha order. The compiler's name, Baiin Rōfu 梅隱老夫 appears in the preface, which is dated Genroku 11 (1698).
