    • 1 volume Condition: Good. A few folios stained, but no worm damage. Impression: A sharp, early impression, near-shozuri. Seals of ownership: Four oblong red seals on first page of each maki: (1) Takahashi zōsho 高橋藏書 (seal of Takahashi Tonan); (2) Randaisō 蘭臺倉; (3) Yamazaki-shi zōsho 山崎氏藏書 (seal of Yamazaki Tomoo 山崎知雄, kokugakusha, 1798-1861); (4) Kōbundō 好文堂. The latter seal appears also on the last page of each maki.

Scope and Content

Author/compiler: Wang Shizhen 王世貞, 1526-93. Text revised and published (in China) by Wang Yunpeng 汪雲鵬. Imprint: [Kyōto] , Fujita Shōemon , Keian 3, 1650. Kanki on fol. 21b of maki 9 reads: 慶安三歳次庚寅季秋初六日刋行 / 寺町通三条上町 藤田庄右衞門. Description: Original mid-blue front cover of satsu 1 only, with faint embossed design. Original printed title slip on left bearing gedai: Yūshō (tsunogaki) ressen zenden 有象 (角書) 列仙全傳. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: The only known Japanese edition of this work. Japanese edition of a Chinese work, not to be confused with the more commonly found Chinese work Liexianchuan 列仙傳. Contents: Brief lives of 497 Chinese 'immortals', including legendary figures, philosophers, poets, etc. Japanese edition of a Chinese work of the same title.
