  • Physical Description
    • 3 volumes Condition: Generally good. Worm damage confined to upper margins. Few water stains in maki 下. Impression: Atozuri, from moderately worn blocks. Illustrations: 8 unnumbered folios of sumizuri illustrations, printed on both sides of each folio, are inserted between ff. 8 and 9, 12 and 13, 18-19 of maki 上; 28-29 and 32-33 of maki 中; and 39-40, 45-46 and 51-52 of maki 下. Artist unknown. Seals of ownership: 5 oblong and square red seals on first page of each maki, of which the following 3 are identifiable: (1) Ōno zōshoki 大野藏書記 (seal of Ōno Shachiku 大野洒竹); (2) Arai kura 新居庫 (seal of Arai Masamichi 新居正道); (3) Yūsui Kagyo 有水可漁 (seal of Kōda Rohan 幸田露伴). Manuscript notes: A few textual emendations in red ink, as a result of collating with the Gunsho ruijū 群書類從 text and others. This is attested by a note in red ink on last page of maki 下 dated Kaei 4 (1851), which reads: 右住吉物語以群書類従本校之 / 嘉永四年辛卯十月初日新居正方 / 本伝 以活板並屋代弘賢本校合云.
