    • 6 volumes Condition: Good. Slight water staining and minimal worm damage. Impression: Sharp and clear, not far from shozuri. Illustrations: Closely resembling those in no. 47 above, in style, subject matter, number and sequence in text. Printed for this edition from newly cut blocks, with minor differences (e.g. frame-size of borders slightly reduced, folio numbers omitted, furigana added to title cartouche of each illustration). Clearly modelled, however, on the Hideyori movable type edition. Seals of ownership: Small red square seal, Abe Hiroshi 阿部浩, on first page of each satsu.

Author/compiler: Zhang JuZheng 張居正, 1525-82, and LÜ Tiaoyang 呂調陽, 1516-80. Name of Japanese translator unknown. Imprint: N.p., n.d. [c. Kan'ei period, 1624-44] . Last vol. (maki 12) missing, hence no colophon. Description: 11 kan (of 12), 6 satsu. (Satsu 1) ff. 3, [1, contents] , 23 (maki 1), ff. [1] , 22 (maki 2); (satsu 2) ff. [1] , 33 (maki 3), ff. [1] , 30 (maki 4); (satsu 3) ff. [1] , 37 (maki 5), ff. [1] , 46 (maki 6); (satsu 4) ff. [1] , 30 (maki 7), ff. [1] , 28 (maki 8); (satsu 5) ff. [1] , 31 (maki 9); (satsu 6) ff. [1] , 32 (maki 10), ff. [1] , 26 (maki 11). 27.4 x 20.1 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 23 x 18 cm. (text), 20 × 14.5 cm. (illustrations). No borders round text. No vertical rules between columns. Double-line borders round illustrations. No fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 11 lines to page, 22 characters to line. Original (?) blue covers, overpainted grey-green, with renewed title slips handwritten c. late-Edo period, overprinted with a wave pattern in mica. Gedai and naidai: Teikan zusetsu 帝鑑圖説. Jodai (preface title) : Teikan zusetsu wahon 帝鑑圖説和本. Hashiragaki: Teikan 1 (etc.) kan 帝鑑一 (等) 巻 + folio no. (except on illustrated pages). In a modern brocade chitsu case. Edition: Formerly described in Kōbunsō zenpon mokuroku 弘文荘善本目録, p. 272, as a movable type edition and believed to be a unique copy of this Japanese translation of Teikan zusetsu. Later research, however, suggests that this edition was printed from blocks. Contents Incidents in the lives of Chinese emperors from earliest times to the Song period, illustrating good and evil deeds. Material drawn from the Chinese dynastic historiee. Preceded by a 3-folio preface signed by Zhang Juzheng and dated 隆慶六年十二月十八日 (1572), also in Japanese translation.
