Printing frame 23.8 x 18 cm. No borders. No printed hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text without furigana. 12 lines to page, c. 24 characters to line. Original dark blue covers, with original title slips on left. Printed gedai: Harusameshō dai 1 (2, etc.) 春雨抄第一 (二, 等). Title from naidai at head of preface and of each maki. Edition: The only recorded edition of this work. Contents: A dictionary of poetical words and phrases, arranged in iroha order, quoting a wide range of examples of their use in waka and renga poetry. Sources of quotations and names of poets are cited. Kanbun preface on first 2 folios of maki 1, dated Kan'ei 16 (1639) and signed by Hayashi Razan (Dōshun) in the following form: 寛永十六年四月浣羅山子道春撰〓.
