The numbering of folios in each satsu is misleading, as fol. 10 is in each case followed by fol. 21. 27.4 x 19 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 22.8-23.3 x 17.1 cm. Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text, with printed furigana, dakuten and kutōten. 12 lines to page, variable no. of characters to line. Original dark blue covers, with original printed title slips (some damaged) remaining on satsu 1-5, 7, 10, 12 and 14. Gedai: Kashiragaki e-iri 頭書繪入 (tsunogaki 角書) Gikeiki hyōban 義經記評判. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: Gikeiki hyōban 義經記評判 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: The only edition under this title. Contents: Current standard text (rufu-bon) of the Gikeiki (traditional legends of the life and deeds of Minamoto no Yoshitsune); accompanied by commentary in the form of headnotes and explanatory notes throughout the text.
