Description: 5 kan (according to mokuroku 目録), 1 satsu, rebound in western style. ff. 6, 84. 26.5 x 19.5 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 19.5 x 14.2 cm. Thick single-line borders with fishtail design on hanshin. Vertical rules between columns of text, and some horizontal rules. Text in kanji, with on readings and some kun readings in katakana added in manuscript, black and red. The ondoku 音読 in red ink are tō-in 唐音 (see manuscript note transcribed below). 9 lines to page, c. 20 characters to line. Original covers lacking. Modern half-leather western style binding. No gedai. Title from naidai at head of text. Hashiragaki: folio number only. Edition: A rare example of a Suō-ban 周防版 edition, also known as Meiō-ban 明應版 from the period of printing. Printed by vassals of the Ōuchi fief (大内氏) in Suō province, modern Yamaguchi-ken, in the Meiō period (1492-1501). Contents: A dictionary to aid in the composition of Chinese poetry, with kanji classified by tone and rhyme. Much used by monks of the Gozan 五山 monasteries who practised Chinese poetry.

- 1 volume Condition: Generally good. Some water staining in upper margins; other stains on ff. 79-84. Worn fore-edges have been repaired by urauchi. Impression: For the most part sharp and clear. Seals of ownership: Oval red seal, Chishō shozō 智勝書藏, on fol. 1 (seal of the Myōshinji Chishōin 妙心寺智勝院, Kyōto). Manuscript notes: Note in red on fol. 1a, upper right: 朱点ハ唐音也. In addition to the handwritten on and kun readings in black and red noted above, the following shikigo appears on a fly-leaf at end of text: 應仁之初変起于輦下大内政弘朝臣率卒入朝而 / 在洛日久矣軍務之暇適俾東福季弘叟加倭點於 / 此書焉今借其真本令景陽敬室寫之亦以他訓 / 點自書于厥端首燕石和璧博識正諸 / 明應龍集乙卯仲秋下澣 槐下桑門. At bottom left of the same folio verso is a signature 林松悦, followed by the writer's kaō (handwritten seal). This signature is in a different hand from the shikigo quoted above, and appears to be of late-Muromachi date.
