    • 1 volume Condition: Excellent. Impression: Slightly atozuri, but still sharp and clear. Illustrations: Sumizuri diagrams in-text illustrating scales and methods of calculating measurement. Seals of ownership: Two red seals, one circular, one inkoku incorporating a white dragon on a red ground, on first page of preface.

Author/compiler: Nakane Genkei 中根元珪, also known as Nakane Akira 中根璋, 1662-1733. Imprint: Rakuyō [Kyōto] , Umemura Yahaku (=Yaemon 彌右衞門), Genroku 5, 1692. Kanki on fol. 46a reads: 元禄五年歳次壬申冬十月十七日 / 雒陽五條橋陌書林梅村彌白藏. Description: 1 kan, 1 satsu, rebound in 1 vol. western style. ff. 2 (序), 2 (目録), 46. 26.4 x 18.6 cm. Fukurotoji. Blockprint. Printing frame 18.4 x 14.6 cm. (average). Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin. Kanbun text, with printed okurigana and kaeriten. 9 lines to page, 18 characters to line. Original dull yellow front cover only, with original printed title slip. Gedai: 律原發揮. Title from naidai. Hashiragaki: 律 (度, 量, 衡) + folio no. In a western style half-leather binding. Edition: The only recorded pre-modern edition. Contents: A treatise on the mathematics of music, introducing and discussing the Chinese 12-tone scale, followed by additional material on measurement in general, particularly land measurement and surveying.
