Single-line borders. No fishtail design on hanshin. Hiragana-majiri text with printed furigana. 10 lines to page, 18-20 characters to line. Original dark blue covers, with original printed title slips centrally placed. Gedai: 和歌威德物語. Title from naidai and gedai. Hashiragaki: Waka 和哥 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: First and only edition recorded in Kokusho sōmokuroku 国書総目録, apart from undated copies. Contents: A blend of waka poetry and monogatari fiction, consisting of collected anecdotes from earlier times demonstrating the efficacy of waka poetry in making friendships, furthering love affairs and even in pleasing the gods.

Seals of ownership: One square red seal (unidentified) on first page of each maki.
