Printing frame 19.7 x 14.8 cm. (average). Double-line borders. Fishtail design on hanshin. Katakana-majiri text with printed furigana. 10 lines to page, 22-24 characters to line. Original mid-blue covers, with original printed title slips (some damaged) remaining on all except satsu 10. Gedai: Akechi gunki 明智軍記. Title from naidai at head of each maki. Hashiragaki: 明智軍記 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: The only pre-1800 edition of this work. A reprint was published in Bunsei 6 文政六年, 1823. Contents: A quasi-historical account (senki monogatari 戦記物語) of the life and martial exploits of Akechi Mitsuhide 明智光秀 (d. 1582), one of Oda Nobunaga's chief captains and, at the Honnōji Incident in 1582, his assassin.
