    • 2 volumes Condition: Good. A clean copy, with only a few minor stains and soiled leaves. Impression: Atozuri, printed from moderately worn blocks. Illustrations: Copiously illustrated with sumizuri woodcuts, single-page and a few double-page printed on recto and verso of the same folio, in a simple and unsophisticated style, uncluttered with excessive detail. Number of illustrations varies between 2 and 12 in each satsu. Seals of ownership: None. Stamp of a kashihon'ya, Kishigo 岸五, of Matsumae 松前 in Esashi, Hokkaidō, has been impressed on first and last pages of each satsu.

Author/compiler: Nishi Dōchi 西道智, kokugaku scholar and historian. Imprint: N.p., Manji 2, 1659. Kanki on last folio of maki 40 reads: 萬治貳己亥年 / 仲夏吉辰板行之. Description: 1 + 40 kan, 50 satsu (maki 10, 14, 16, 17, 24, 26, 33, 35 and 39 are each divided into two satsu, 上 and 下). Original dark blue covers, with original printed title slips. Gedai: 太平記大全. Naidai at head of each maki (目録 and 本文) : Taiheiki 太平記; at head of commentary in maki 1: Taiheiki taizen 太平記大全. Hashiragaki: 太平記大全 + maki no. + folio no. Edition: The only recorded Edo-period edition. Contents: Standard text of the Taiheiki 太平記 alternating with passages of detailed commentary by Nishi Dōchi.
