Administrative / Biographical History

Robinson was born in Manchester and studied medicine at Edinburgh University, graduating in 1886. In 1885 he came to Owens College as a demonstrator in anatomy and rose to become a lecturer before leaving fro the Middlesex Hospital Medical School in 1986. In 1909 he was appointed to the chair of anatomy at Edinburgh where he remained until 1931.
