Administrative / Biographical History

Wright was a medical graduate of Edinburgh University. He was a honorary surgeon at Ancoats Hospital Manchester, and later at Salford Royal Hospital. He was a former president of Manchester Medical Society and Manchester Pathological Society. He was vice-president of the section of surgery at the BMA annual meeting in Manchester in 1929. Wright was a lecturer in surgical pathology at the University of Manchester, and was a specialist in abdominal surgery.
