MB ChB Manch 1927, DPH 1937.

Schill was born in Withington on19 March 1904 and gained her medical education at the University of Manchester. Her married name was Sykes but she practised under her maiden name. After qualifying, Schill spent a year as medical officer to children at St Mary's Hospital before working part-time in maternity and child welfare. From 1947 Schill was medical officer to Manchester School for Girls and for women students in the Department of Education of the University of Manchester. She was also part-time psychotherapist at MRI. Schill was a member of Manchester Medical Society. HSe was also involved with the Marriage Guidance Council. Schill was related to the Melland family which included a number of medical men practising in the North West.
