Feldmann served in the RAMC after qualifying and was house physician at MRI before being appointed supernumary medical registrar at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. He was later appointed lecturer in child health at the University of Manchester and consultant paediatrician at the South the University of Manchester Hospitals. Feldman was a member of the British Paediatric Association and Manchester Medical Society .
