The second son of Thomas Bellot, William also studied at Manchester Grammar and MRI. He later became a surgeon in general practice in Stockport, where he was also surgeon to the Military Hospital, honorary surgeon to the workhouse and Inspecting Surgeon under the Factory Act. Bellot was possibly a member of Stockport Medical Society. Bellot married Frances Leigh, the daughter of John Egerton Killer. He died in Leamington Spa on 24 September 1895.
