BMD St Andrews 1862; MRCS LSA 1848.

Gwynn trained at Guy's Hospital and was a certifying factory surgeon. He was medical officer of health for Whitchurch, Shropshire and was president of the Shropshire and Mid-Wales Branch of the BMA. Gwynn was a member of Manchester Medical Society .
