Administrative / Biographical History

MB ChB Manch 1941; MRCP Lond 1949.

After qualifying at Manchester Feinmann held house positions at MRI and Salford Royal Hospital, and also served in the military as regimental medical officer. He was later resident medical officer and medical registrar at Salford Royal Hospital, before being appointed medical registrar at MRI. In the 1950s Feinmann moved away from Manchester and was appointed assistant chest physician at Newcastle General Hospital and later consultant chest physician for Gateshead Tuberculosis Administration Area. He was a member of the North of England Tuberculosis Society.
