Administrative / Biographical History

LRCP Lond 1893; MB ChB Vict 1895; FRCS Eng 1907.

Ainsworth was house physician at MRI, medical officer for Monsall Fever Hospital from 1895 and Hon Surgeon to HM the King. He entered the Indian Medical Service in 1896, and served at various locations in India. From 1910-1916, he was professor of ophthalmic surgery at Lahore Medical College, and was later Principal of King Edward's Medical College, Lahore. He retired from the IMS in 1927 and moved to Bognor Regis, Sussex. He was a member of Manchester Medical Society from 1895 to 1896.
