Ms register of cases attended by Constance Avison in West Riding County Council – Wakefield (15 September 1928 – 25 June 1932), recording the name, age, address and number of previous labours and mischarges of each patient, the date and hour of her arrival at the delivery, the presentation of the child on birth, the date and hour of the birth, the sex of the infant, whether the infant was born living or dead, whether the infant was full term or premature, if a doctor was present at birth, any complications during the birth and the condition of the mother and child on her last visit, the fee recovered by midwife from patient and any further remarks. The file also contains a group photo of staff and a maternity ward.
