Papers relating to the training of Gweneth Fitton (nee Garner) as a children's nurse and midwife at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Pendlebury and as a community midwife for Cheshire County Council, including photographs of her and the other students at Pendlebury; 2 volumes of handwritten lecture notes; 2 case books submitted for the Central Midwives Board examination (June 1946 - November 1947) at Withington Hospital and Salford Corporation, including mother's details and delivery; badges including the RCM badge, General Nursing Council, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, and Cheshire County Council, papers relating to her training and return to practice in 1961, 17 case registers kept by her as community midwife in the Altrincham area of Manchester (November 1947 - November 1948 and February 1961 - November 1976), professional attendance register of cases for antenatal and postnatal visits (August 1908 - August 1983), nursing examination papers (1933-1944), refresher course and training certificates, nursing uniform permit (February 1947), Midwives Drugs Books (1966 - 1976), and rules and regulations of practice and other related correspondence and papers.
