Case register of E. Baschels

Scope and Content

Ms register of cases attended by E. Baschels, midwife at St. Mary's Maternity Hospital in Manchester (18 August 1922-2 June 1923), recording the name, age, address and number of previous labours and mischarges of each patient, the date and hour of her arrival at the delivery, the presentation of the child on birth, the date and hour of the birth, the sex of the infant, whether the infant was born living or dead, whether the infant was full term or premature and the condition of the mother and child on her last visit, as well as any further remarks on the expulsion of the placenta and membranes.
