Scope and Content

Printed material, collected by G. Owen, perhaps during her time training as a midwife (circa. 1961), including two copies of a advice manual for mothers, entitled ‘Relaxation and Exercise for Natural Childbirth’, written by Helen Heardman and published in 1961, together with a printed leaflet on the regulations for district pupil midwives of the Queen Charlotte’s Hospital in London and another printed leaflet on the definitions of terms used to describe the mechanisms of pregnancy and childbirth.

G. Owen (fl. 1950-1970) was a midwife who possibly trained at the Queen Charlotte's Hospital around 1961.
