Exercise book of Miss Crickmor

Scope and Content

Ms exercise book, containing notes and charts, compiled by Miss Crickmor, recording the deliveries that she witnessed as a pupil midwife in Ipswich, Suffolk (24 August 1931-6 November 1932), including the name, age, address and pregnancy history of each patient, the date of the child’s birth, the doctor or midwife present and further remarks on the different stages of labour and postnatal care provided.
