Case register of Ella Trench and Marjorie Trench-Worthy

Ms register of cases, completed by Ella Trench, whilst practicing as a midwife in Waterloo, near Liverpool (8 February-22 September 1917), then also recording the births attended by Marjorie Trench-Worthy as a midwife around the area of Matlock in Derbyshire (21 April 1944-11 August 1953), including the date of expected confinement, the name, ages, address and pregnancy history of each patient, the date and hour of the midwife’s arrival, the presentation of the child on birth, the date and hour of the birth, the sex of the infant, whether the infant was born living or dead, whether the infant was premature, the name of the doctor if called, whether there were any complications during or after labour, the date of the midwife’s last visit, the condition of the mother and child on her last visit, as well as any further remarks.

Ella Trench (fl. 1900-1920) was a midwife in Waterloo, near Liverpool during the First World War, while Marjorie Trench-Worthy (fl. 1930-1960) was a midwife who practiced around the area of Matlock, Derbyshire.
