Case register of Mary Wilderspoon

Ms register of cases, completed by Mary Wilderspoon during her time practicing as a midwife in around the areas of Wisbeech in Cambridgeshire and Bures in Suffolk (8 September 1933-5 August 1939), name, ages, address and pregnancy history of each patient that she attended in childbirth, the date and hour of her arrival at the patient’s home, presentation of the child at birth, the date and hour of the child’s birth, the sex of the child and whether the child was born living or dead, whether the child was premature, the name of the doctor if called, if there were any complications during labour, the date of her last visit, the condition of the mother and child then, as well as any other further remarks.

Mary Wilderspoon (fl. 1920-1940) was a midwife who practiced in Cambridge and Suffolk.

There is no record of the date or source of acquisition before the collection was deposited at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in May 2011.
