Case book of Joan M. Wheeler

Scope and Content

Ms pupil case book, including notes, tables and charts, completed of Joan M. Wheeler in the course of her training to become a midwife at Fulham Borough Council Maternity Home (4 June 1947-20 May 1948), recording the pregnancy history of each patient that she attended, alongside detailed descriptions of each stage of their labour and puerperium, as well as the condition of the child, the postnatal care provided and the date of discharge.

Joan M. Wheeler (fl. 1930-1950) was a student midwife at the Fulham Borough Council Maternity Home between 1947 and 1948.
