Ian Christopher Lloyd, b 1961.

Lloyd, known as Christopher, came from a family of general practitioners. He gained his medical education at the University of London, qualifying in 1985, and proceeded to specialise in ophthalmology. Lloyd held junior appointments in London, Surrey and Manchester before being appointed registrar at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and Stepping Hill Hospital Stockport in 1988. Lloyd was later appointed consultant paediatric ophthalmologist to the Eye Hospital. He was a member of the North of England Ophthlamological Society.
