MD Wurzburg 1839.

Margulies was physician to Prince Alexander of Hesse-Darmstadt. He was later in practice in Manchester. Margulies wrote a paper on the asiatic cholera outbreak in St Petersburg in 1848 and was the inventor of the thorascope, which he presented to the Imperial Academy of Medicine in Paris in 1864.
