MRCS LRCP 1935; MRCGP.

Lee was born in Manchester on 27 April 1911 and was educated at Hanley High School and the University of Manchester. He held junior positions at Bradford Royal Infirmary and Hope Hospital, Salford, before being appointed medical officer to Urmston Cottage Hospital in 1938. He held this position until 1948 when he settled in general practice in Cheshire. Lee was on the West Manchester Hospital Management Committee from 1954 to 1960 and was senior medical officer to the Department of Health and Social Security from 1968 to 1971. Lee was a member of MMS and Stretford Medical Society, of which he was president in 1952. He was also a founder member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
