Administrative / Biographical History

Jones graduated in medicine in 1938. He also studied at the University Hospital of Cleveland, Ohio, as a Leverhulme Research Fellow. In 1947 he was appointed Deputy Director of the University Department of Cardiology and a lecturer in cardiology at the University. He was later promoted to the Director of the Department. He published widely in the area of cardiology, including Modern trends in cardiology (1960). Jones died on 3 January 1979.
