Kenyon was born in West Yorkshire in 1916 and studied medicine in Edinburgh. Kenyon began with an interest in child health and worked at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital. After her children were born she returned to medicine in 1962 and worked in family planning and infertility clinics in the Manchester area until she retired. Kenyon was a member of the Medical Women's Federation. She died on 20 July 2000.
