Note
The first three words in Latin – vincit qui patitur – are a common Latin tag, sometimes said to be from Persius. Aulus Persius Flaccus (34-62) was an Etruscan poet and satirist. An edition of his works was published by Isaac Casaubon in Paris in 1605. See also volume xvi from (DWL/RB/1/342-346).
