Scope and Content

Baxter’s argues in the negative on the question of ‘Whether it be Necessary to every act of every creature, or to every free act of the Rationall Creature, considered compatively & as circumstanciated'.

Note

See also Treatises xviii.349. The question in dispute is more fully stated at the beginning of the first part of this treatise; in the same words as in the first part of the quarto manuscript, which was proposed for publication by Baxter, 20 years after the date given above. The rest of this treatise consists of additional papers all in quarto. There is also one in folio, among supplemental papers found loose when these were bound.
