- The manuscript does clearly refer to John Lambe, although Thomas Lambe’s separation from John Goodwin’s church occurred about 1653. See Corr 473 (where G F Nuttall clarifies the link between Thomas and Barbara Lambe, William Allen and Goodwin) and 495. This is neither Sir John Lambe (c1566-1646), the civil lawyer, nor is it John Lambe (1545/6-1628), the astrologer.
