Scope and Content

'The elements of conic sections'. A quarto tract by a comparatively modern hand: ‘A Parabola is a curve Line terminating or bounding a plane figure made by one particular way of cutting a Cone, i.e. as we shall see, cutting it by a plane parallel to one of the sides.’
