Baxter's notes on what qualifies one for baptism or church membership. Includes: 'Qu. Whether it be enough to qualifie a man for baptisme or Visible Church membership, to professe only Consent to be a Learner of Christ in order to bring him up to a State of regeneration hereafter, or to professe any thing objectively, or subjectively which would not entitle to Justification & Salvation if his profession were true. Neg. (With many conjunct Cases) Relating to Mr W. Allens booke.' ‘Instead of a dispute I shall only lay downe the truth in such distinct propositions as shall be all clears, & inferre each other.’
