Note

Pierre (or Peter) Jurieu (1637-1713) was a French Protestant pastor who was ordained into the Church of England. He was the grand-son of Pierre du Moulin and the nephew of Peter du Moulin. Chapter 24 of the first part of The accomplishment of the Scripture prophecies written in French by Jurieu and '... faithfully Englished from the new French edition' (1687) contains: ‘35 Characters of Antichrist, that perfectly agree to the Papsim, and cannot agree to any but it’. For Pierre Jurieu see ODCC.
