Administrative / Biographical History

Dr redmond qualified at Manchester in 1975. He was a consultant in accident and emergency medicine at Stockport Infirmary and the South Manchester group of Hospitals. In the 1990s, he moved to North Staffordshire Hospital NHS Trust and was professor of emergency medicine at Keel University (now emeritus). he has been heavily involved in supporting medical humanitarian responses to wars and disasters, and was medcial director, University Clinical Centre, Pristina, Kosovo, 1999-2000. He is the founder of UK-Med which has provided medical staff to deal with a variety of global emergencies.
