Bardd a aned ym mhlwyf Dolwyddelan, Sir Gaernarfon ym 1832 oedd David Richard Jones. Ymfudodd gyda'i deulu i Wisconsin ym 1845. Cyhoeddwyd llawer o'i waith yn Y Drych (Utica). Bu farw ym 1916.
